Well he did it...he joined the National Guard. He has been with the guard for a month now and in that month he has been to 2 drill weekends already. One of them being this weekend. I miss him but it's nice to have my own time. When he was going to school I always had a couple nights of the week to myself and that is how I started Scrapbooking :)
I am so proud of him. When he got out of the Army 7 years ago he didn't think he would ever look back. For 7 years I heard his thoughts of wanting to re-enlist...well this is our compromise. No I don't know if this is the right choice for our family but I know that this is what's in his heart. I support my husband 1000% and I truly believe that everything in life happens for a reason. I will walk this journey beside him the whole way. Babe...I am your biggest fan and you make me proud to be your wife.

New Years Day
Just how I love today...a new year!! It started off just how I would like it to be relaxing and calm.
I was standing at my kitchen window watching my hubby and little man walk down to the chicken coop to feed the chickens. The little man could not keep up with da-dee but he was determined so he ran his little heart out. I love to watch...watch my hubby enjoy being a da-dee...you can see the joy and love in his eyes.
As for me I started the year sleeping in, paying bills and cooking. I made a really yummy batch of green salsa. I guess some things will never change!!

Old Year Going...New Year Coming!
It's been a while...wow what a while...when I started this blog I thought I would write more often but I guess life just gets busy.
Things around here have been pretty steady...the last week was Christmas of course and that in itself kept us busy.
I was working for a local scrapbooking store for about 8 months and that is a sad story. She had to close the business *tear* It was a rough month for the girls who have been working with her for years now...but well worth it. Long hours and hard work paid off she couldn't have asked for a better crew they are dedicated and awesome.
On another note I am hoping that this new year comes soon I am excited to start 2010 and bring in new cheer to my little family...we need a fun vacation together. I guess we will just have to see what it brings.

12 hours...
8 to 8....such a long day. We have parent teacher conferences today and tomorrow. Why am I still up? Have you ever been so tired you can't sleep? Well that is me tonight. I saw my hubby for a couple of hours today and our "Little Man" for about an hour... Well worth it though I am not whinning :) The day went by very fast and it was nice to see that our parking lot was over flowing of anxious parents coming to see how their kids were doing. It was a good quiet day with the girls too.
Hubby said that "Little Man" was watching UP (pixar movie) and he was roleplaying the part where the little old man gets up to stretch...so cute...da-dee has fun with his silly outburst!

Missing them...
I miss them so much today...receiving these pictures reminds me of how tight knit our family is. I wish that my mom was here she always cooked our favorite meals when we were feeling down or had a bad day. Distance truly makes the heart grow fonder and I appreciate that.
My brother is one of my best friends he and I can confide in each other...he brings a smile to my heart at all the right times...whether it's with a text or a simple phone call he just knows. My little sister is one of my heroes she is so smart and such a talented person. She started volleyball this week and she was so excited about her first practice...I only wish I could go to everyone of her games to support her. She is so beautiful inside and out. I am really missing pictures from my Dad sister and bro-in-law I will share them soon!

Relax life is too short...
Rainy and cold...well it's a good thing we are inside. We have had a heck of a week...car accident among other things. I spent my week wearing a neck brace...the foamy kind...finally got an appointment yesterday...gotta love KP...she wants me to do physical therapy. Road to recovery...yay!
On a brighter and happier note...I was looking at our "Little Man" today and oh my he is getting big. He is tall and has long skinny legs...just these last couple of weeks he has started really putting sentences together. This morning he said "Momma come me cereal...please" and I apparently grabbed the wrong Ziploc bag "Mom no this one Diego mom, this one no Diego" so cute and it warms my heart.
